Who is this person: My mom, she is strong, independent, and kind, very empathetic and compassionate (she is alive)
- She has taught me to be resilient (start out with story of preemie birth)
Intro: I was a preemie (taught me resilience at a very young age), she was a single mom (30 sec)
- Start out with “Imagine this…” to get the audience engaged, talk about preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and emergency C-section, end with humor (she looks like an alien), “and that was the day she decided that she was going to do everything she could to make her children successful”
Main point: her having to navigate uncharted waters led me to being resilient (30 sec)
- Her first childbirth was not how she expected it to be, she wanted to spend all the time she could with me even if it wasn’t a lot, and is still in awe today of the person I have grown up to become, and am still becoming
